The nation awaits the outcome of recounts by the Elections and Boundaries Commission in fourteen of the one hundred and forty-one electoral districts, which were contested in the Local Government Elections on Monday.
UNC has asked for recounts in twelve districts held by the PNM – from the East west-corridor to South Trinidad.
The PNM is interested in recounts in two districts, Marabella West which was won by entertainer John Alibocus aka Makamillion and Marabella South/Vistabella where the UNC defector Marcus Girdharie, lost to UNC’s Sasha Ali.
