There has been no change in the Health and Family Life Education Curriculum currently being implemented in schools nationwide.
Any claims to the contrary are entirely inaccurate.
The Ministry of Education says several unsubstantiated allegations have been circulating on social media, linking routine parental consent forms for the conduct of the Trinidad and Tobago National Learning Assessment with consent for medical procedures to be carried out on students.
It says this claim is completely false, and flies in the face of common knowledge about the permissions required by medical institutions for the conduct of medical procedures on children.
