Nicole Dyer-Griffith continues her fight for women to be armed with pepper spray

One person who was pleased by the Commissioner’s statement that pepper spray is non-lethal and is used by women all around the world to protect themselves; was his wife Mrs. Nicole Dyer-Griffith.

Mrs Dyer-Griffith has long promoted women’s rights and safety.

She began a petition last year calling for women to be afforded the right to be armed with Pepper Spray.

She told News Power Now it is her hope that the comments by the Commissioner have spurred a need for action in those who are responsible for instituting change.

The former beauty queen turned politician warned that while women may be encouraged to apply for a FUL, they must consider that firearms carry a greater responsibility than pepper spray.
