New Grant brothers sweep National Stick Fighting Competition

Oniel Odle from Sixth Company, New Grant, Princes Town took home the top prize in the highly anticipated showdown of the National Stick Fighting Competition Finals held on Wednesday, February 7 at Skinner Park, San Fernando.

Out of a field of 12 highly skilled combatants, Odle would rise to the occasion, fending off the fiercest of attacks to capture the much coveted Stick Fighting Champion title and accolades before an audience of more than 2500 people.

His brothers Donald Lewis and Ronald Lewis were second and third respectively.

It was Odle’s fourth title, as he won three consecutive times from 2012-2014.
