The National Operations Task Force of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service is now operational.
The official launch took place at the Inter Agency Task Force Headquarters at Aranguez on Thursday afternoon.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Mc Donald Jacob, told reporters at the launch under this arrangement the public can expect more team work in term of intelligence sharing among the various divisions and sections of law enforcement.
Mr Jacob said closer partnership between the Defence Force and the TTPS will be a key part of how the Task Force will carry out its responsibilities.
The Acting Commissioner of Police also provided details on how the Task Force will be managed, its administrative functions and the personnel in charged.
