Upset Texans launch “Church of Peace and Quiet” after fireworks uproar

A church called the Church of Peace and Quiet has gained a large following after residents in a Texas community fed up with the consistent use of fireworks by several of their neighbours opened the place of worship.

The residents of Tarrant County, near Fort Worth Texas were upset after a new neighbor set up a fireworks stand.

The stand had plans to implement a a pay-to-pop spot — where paying customers can explode their own fireworks.

Residents went to a meeting with the County Commissioner, the Fire officials and the the District Attorney where an idea was birthed.

They discovered that laws in the area prevent persons from using fireworks within 200 metres of a church.

The residents have since formed two churches…the Church of Perace and Quiet and Faith United Cowboy Church with plans to possibly launch more churches to shut down the use of the fireworks.
