Carnival Friday has become synonymous with Soca Monarch and it’s themed, Fantastic Friday, but that’s about to change come 2023 as the King of Soca Machel Montano has revealed that he will be hosting a 40th anniversary show on Carnival Friday.
Dubbed ‘Machel 40,’the event is already receiving great hype as it teases a special guest from Lagos, Nigeria.
Trinis are already speculating that it is Afrobeats singer and songwriter Wizkid.
Machel 40 is carded for the Hasely Crawford Stadium and will be Montano’s first major show since Machel Monday in 2020, which he stated was the last.
Tickets for Machel 40 go on sale on January 1st.
