MOH: Pfizer vaccine is available to all children between the ages of 12-18 years of age regardless of whether they are students or not

By Avril St Hill Babb

The Pfizer vaccine is available to all children between the ages of 12-18 years of age regardless of whether they are students or not.
This is according to the Minister of Health Terrance Deyalsingh, who made the comment at the Ministry of Health’s Covid briefing this morning. He said all citizens and non-citizens who reside in Trinidad Tobago between those ages are welcome to take the Pfizer vaccine.

He said vaccination for that age group would begin on Wednesday and there would be no appointment system. Only one parent will be allowed to accompany their child(ren).
He maintained while there has been trepidation among parents concerned with vaccinating their children, the Health Minister maintained that children have been vaccinated from very early in their lives.
