MoE calls school COVID-19 outbreak “fake news”

The Ministry of Educations addressed the erroneous social media post which implies that the Ministry called a meeting to discuss the rotation or close of schools due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

The Ministry via their Facebook page said the information in circulation online is “FAKE NEWS.“

The Ministry’s Education District Health Unit said it continues to assist Principals in the management of COVID 19 cases which arise at school.

“This system has been implemented since February 2021, when schools opened for physical attendance and continues at all schools.”
