CoP says Pagasus software not being used in T&T

Pegasus software is not presently being used in Trinidad and Tobago this is according to Police Commissioner McDonald Jacob.

He says that there is software that is presently being used by legal authorities for the purpose monitoring transnational crime.

Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley rubbished claims by Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar that Intelligence Agencies, including the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, have ever possessed or used Pegasus Spyware.

In a statement in the House of Representatives on Friday claims the State engaged in widespread spying on citizens through interception tool Pegasus Spyware Solutions are completely untrue.

Speaking on the Power Breakfast Show on Power 102 Digital this morning Commissioner Jacob confirmed that Pegasus is not being used in T&T.
