Met Office to receive new $50M administrative building

The T&T Meteorological Services is set to receive a state-of-the-art administrative building.

The new structure is estimated to cost $55 million.

In a Guardian report, the Met Office will also be equipped with additional staff, equipment and new tools to for accurate weather forecasts.

Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales made the disclosure as the TTMS falls under his purview

Gonzales said., “we will be tearing down the old building that we have.”

The building design has already been approved and some of money has already been allocated to kick start construction in the first quarter of 2023.
