Maracas Beach Roadway and Carpark Now Accessible

The Maracas beach roadway and carpark is now accessible to members of the public.

This is the latest update coming from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts.

It comes following what has been described as the quick and effective response from the combined efforts of the Ministry of Tourism, the Facility and Maintenance Unit at Maracas beach and the UDeCOTT Facility Maintenance.

In a media release on Tuesday, the Ministry said despite unfavourable conditions that resulted in logistical difficulties, the team was able to quickly clear and widen the river mouth to enable the waters to recede at low tide, thus permitting access to the Maracas beach.

Members of the public are reminded to pay special attention to the Orange-Level Hazardous Seas Alert issued by the Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service and to exercise extreme caution when visiting the nation’s beaches.
