Maloney residents run for cover as gunmen fire shots

Maloney residents had to take cover inside their homes when gunmen fired shots in their neighbourhood last night.

According to police reports, a silver Nissan B14 was seen near Building 17, Maloney Boulevard, around 8:27 pm.

Two gunmen were seen exiting the vehicle and shooting at the buildings nearby.

Residents who were outside ran into their homes and stayed there until the gunmen drove off.

No one was wounded in the shooting.

Maloney police were called in and found several bullet holes in the wall and door of an apartment in Building 17.

Crime Scene Investigators also visited the scene and found 15 spent 5.56 shells and the stock of a rifle.

The stock of a rifle is the back part of a rifle which is pressed against the shooter’s shoulder when firing.

Officers of the Maloney CID are continuing enquiries.
