Five men were arrested and two firearms and a quantity of ammunition seized by officers during ongoing Operation Blue Line exercises being conducted in the Western Division.
In the latest exercise, Task Force officers went to the Maraval district between 5 am and 8 am, today, Thursday 17th August, 2023, as they conducted investigations into a report of Robbery with Violence.
During the exercise, officers executed a search warrant at the home of a 33-year-old suspect.
The search resulted in officers finding one revolver loaded with eight rounds of ammunition.
Two other male suspects, ages 22 and 25, both of Maraval, were also arrested in connection with the report of Robbery with Violence.
Meanwhile, another exercise conducted between 2 pm and 6 pm, on Wednesday 16th August, 2023 resulted in the arrest of two male suspects, ages 29 and 33, both of Carenage.
They were found to be in possession of an AR-15 rifle, loaded with a drum magazine containing 40 rounds of ammunition.
