Deyalsingh: Budget wish is to continue funding MoH’s major infrastructural projects and recurring expenditure

With upgrade works currently underway at two health facilities, Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh is hoping that the Budget presentation today will put things in place for the coverage of expenses to complete said projects.

Deyalsingh told media during the TT Moves event at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Saturday, that several key items for his ministry included the completion of works at hospitals.

“With the budget we want to continue our infrastructural development programmes, which is the construction of the Sangre Grande Hospital to finish off that, further funding for the Port of Spain Central Block, we just finished moving into the Ministry of Health Head Office so that funding has already been taking care of.

“So those are some major infrastructural projects that we want to continue funding for.
“Also we want to continue funding out recurrent expenditure.”
