Soca artiste and T&T’s Soca Ambassador, Machel Montano is set to pursue a Masters Degree in Carnival Studies.
Montano gave insight into his plans live on Trinidad and Tobago Television (TTT) during the National Panorama Small Conventional Bands final at the Queen’s Park Savannah on Saturday January 14th.
Monk Monté said unlike Carnivals in the past he is dedicating his time to one show, celebrating 40 years in the business.
Party goers can catch Montano at ‘One Show’ – The Meeting Place on Carnival Friday.
Meanwhile Montano said he made the decision not to perform at several events, as he is dedicating his time to head back to school and focus on his Masters Degree in Carnival Studies at the University of Trinidad and Tobago.
He also said he will be performing with Siparia Deltones in the Panorama Medium Band competition.
