Longdenville temple robbed; one devotee hospitalised

Police are searching for four bandits who broke into a Longdenville temple on Tuesday, injuring a devotee in the process.

According to the Sri Sri Radha Gopinatha Mandir on Facebook, the break-in occurred around 1:30am yesterday.

Male devotees were said to have been tied up while the bandits ransacked the temple, before the intruders assaulted two men.

One of the victims was hit in the head and also suffered fractured ribs, and had to be taken to hospital.

The temple said that police were called regarding the incident.

The site is the headquarters for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) in Trinidad & Tobago
