List Of Senior Counsel Applicants To Remain Private, Says Prime Minister

The Prime Minister will not make public the names of the persons who were not successful in their bid to acquire Senior Counsel Status.

This position is being adopted to avoid the individuals being scandalised.

Dr Keith Rowley made this disclosure during the question and answer period in the House of Representatives on Wednesday.

Fifty-seven persons applied for the position.

However, seventeen met the criteria.

On May 2nd this year the final list of applicants was submitted to Dr Rowley by the Attorney General.
