TTRNA: “PM better keep his promise to look into nurses issues!”

The Trinidad and Tobago Registered Nurses Association they will be holding Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to his word after he promised to address their concerns.

Stewart said that the Government could see a redoubling of efforts by the nurses if they fail to address their issues.

On Friday nurses were called on to engage in a day of prayer for long term employment and salary adjustment.

On Saturday the Prime Minister promised look at the nurses’ concerns.

Minister of Health Terrance Deyalsingh said that turnout was in the ninety percentile on Friday however The TTRNA President that the absentee rate was higher than the Minister had stated.

The Prime Minister said on Saturday that while he was pleased by the turnout he assured that he would give attention to the nurses concerns.

TTRNA President Idi Stewart told TV6 yesterday that the Association appreciated the statement.
