The Ministry of Education is exploring a digital option to facilitate the payment of substitute teachers throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
Minister of Education, Dr Nyan Gadsby Dolly, revealed substitute teachers are not paid on the monthly basis.
She stated that some of them did not receive payment for the past several months – for various reasons in each case – as the current payment method requires in person collection.
This development, the Minister said, has promoted the need for a digital option to be reviewed.
