Pepper spray may provide opportunity for local farmers

A vibrant debate in the Senate is taking place on the much talk about pepper spray being used as a non-lethal weapon to help in the
protection of women in Trinidad and Tobago.

Leading off deliberation on the Firearms Amendment Bill 2021 was Attorney General, Faris Al-Rawi.

As the AG went through the various clauses of the bill he said the use of pepper spray provides an opportunity for local farmers to benefit and be part of the manufacturing process.

The AG identified who will be exempt from using the pepper spray.

The AG also revealed if someone tells an untruth during the application stage for the pepper spray this will have serious consequences.
