According to the latest update from the Division of Health, Wellness and Social Protection, in the Tobago House of Assembly (THA) the latest Covid fatality on the island is a fully vaccinated individual.
Their death has brought the death toll for COVID-19 on the island to 271 lives lost.
Before yesterday, the most recent death had been reported just over a week ago, on Monday 20 June 2022, with an unvaccinated person identified as the deceased on that date.
In addition, the THA Health Division report notes three more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Tobago over the past 24 hours. The number of current active infections now stands at 112.
At present, the total number of people in Tobago who have recovered from COVID-19 since March 2020 now stands at 9,643.
