KFC customers to receive complimentary seedlings for Corpus Christi

Corpus Christi has traditionally been the date for planting new crops and KFC wants citizens to get involved.

Customers visiting any KFC restaurant today will receive complimentary seedlings,

In a statement, KFC said this latest initiative is in celebration of Corpus Christi, adding that it also seeks to enable customers to embrace a spirit of renewal and growth.

Roger Rambharose, Vice-President of KFC and Pizza Hut also stated, “At KFC, we are committed to making a difference in the lives of our customers and the world we all share.

‘”By sharing these seedlings, we hope to inspire our customers to embrace the concept of growing as much of our food as we can. We believe that every plant represents a step towards a sustainable and thriving future for all.”

Rambharose said the next event will be a hike to Lady Chancellor Hill next week to plant 1,500 trees, adding that in all, over 5000 trees are expected to be planted before the end of the year by the company.

“KFC has always been passionate about giving back to the communities it serves. By providing these plants, the company aims to support local conservation efforts and raise awareness about the importance of environmental sustainability. “This aligns with KFC’s ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to making a positive impact beyond its delicious menu offerings,” Rambharose explained.

KFC is also encouraging individuals to share their planting experiences on social media using the hashtag #KFCSeedlings.
