Twelve persons were arrested and a firearm and quantities of ammunition and marijuana seized by officers of the Southern Division Task Force, during multiple anti-crime operations on Thursday.
In the first exercise, Task Force officers were on mobile patrol along Rochard Road, Barrackpore, at around 2:30 am, when they stopped a white Nissan AD Wagon with three male occupants.
A search was conducted which resulted in one firearm being found under the back seat of the vehicle.
The three suspects, all of Barrackpore, were arrested in connection with the find.
