An investigation has been launched into the cause of a fire at the La Brea facility of Lake Asphalt of Trinidad and Tobago (1978) Limited.
In a release, the company said the fire started just before noon on Thursday on the No. 2 STILL during planned maintenance in the Production facility.
The company says the emergency response mechanism was triggered and the fire was quickly contained with the help of the Point Fortin fire station.
There were no injuries reported.
