Franklin Khan’s funeral expected in early May

The funeral for late Energy Minister, Franklin Khan, is likely to take place in early May.

His wife, Laura Sewlal-Khan, in an interview with GML, revealed that she is awaiting the arrival from overseas of their daughter Khara.

Once she arrives, she will be quarantined for 14 days as per the COVID-19 protocols.

Mrs Sewlal-Khan said “We are doing everything strictly according to the law so when she arrives and quarantines, then we’ll deal with the funeral.”

She did assure however, that Khan will be laid to rest in Mayaro at Radix Cemetery after his funeral.

Khan, 63, died suddenly at his Moka, Maraval home last Saturday morning

Besides his daughter Khara, Khan also leaves to mourn his son Kheran, as well as grandsons and a granddaughter.
