Health Minister says parallel health care system under strain, says unvaccinated at fault

Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh says he agrees with the junior and senior doctors who have complained that there is a severe shortage of health staff.

An article in the Trinidad Express yesterday stated that in some cases there was one doctor to sixty patients, while Deyalsingh acknowledged that the parallel health care system was under strain he said the statistics did not resemble what was in the report.

And he did not appear to accept that this could be a major contributing factor to the high number of Covid related deaths.
