Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley said had the Government not taken CL Financial Limited (CLICO) to court, they would have lost $8 billion in assets. Dr. Rowley said that the under the previous administration, the former Ministers of Finance, Larry Howai and Winston Dookeran, said that the CLICO situation was finialised. But, it was not so.
Speaking on i95.5 earlier today, Dr. Rowley said the money was used to assist the country during its difficult financial times.
