Former Senator says Govt must act now!

Former Government Minister Robert Le Hunte says the Government must now take action if it is to preserve the economy.

Mr Le Hunte, who is now the IDB Executive Director for the Caribbean, said there are some decisions that T&T has been postponing and some strategic planning that must be done.

He told Power 102 Digital’s Power Breakfast Show that the country needs to start executing things we have been speaking about over the years such as diversification.

Mr Le Hunte noted that action is critical as a lot of the economic shocks which hit T&T impact the poor disproportionately.

He therefore called on the Government to act with haste in developing solid positions and action plans aimed at developing other income streams.
