Leader of the Seamen and Waterfront Workers Trade Union, Michael Annisette, said the Government has a responsibility to respect International Labour Organization policies.
The veteran trade unionist suggested that the Government must adhere to labour best practices.
The NATUC President noted that the resistance being put up by the Trade Union Movement is more than about being contrarian.
Mr Anisette said the public and the wider society are the ones who determine the direction of the society in which we live.
He called on the public to question why there was a move to force employees to get vaccinated but no move by those forcing vaccination, to accept liability for any fallout suffered by the employees as a result.
