Tilo Kruse, the German national who is attempting to walk from Toco to Icacos was attacked by two men during his journey on Wednesday.
In a Tik Tok video, Tilo Kruse says the men jumped out of some nearby bushes and pushed him onto the roadway.
He says he was able to grab his phone and flag down a passing car, following which he filed a report with police.
Despite the experience, Mr Kruse says he still believes most Trinis are good people and is now more determined to show the good parts of Trinidad.
He will continue his walk to Icacos.
