The TT Met Service has advised that wetter conditions are forecast for the months of May and June.
The TTMS says most of Trinidad generally received below-normal rainfall in the first 3 months of 2024, while Tobago received below-normal and above-normal rainfall during the same period.
However, its Dryness Outlook for April to June shows that all areas are likely to improve and be free of abnormal dryness in the short-term.
It adds that the predicted volume of rainfall in late April-May-June is likely to replenish soil moisture.
The TTMS also reminds that an early start to the rainy season is expected in the second half of May 2024.
