Taxi driver rapes, robs and stabs Venezuelan teen

A Venezuelan teenager who hired a taxi to take her to Chaguanas, was raped, robbed and then stabbed by the taxi driver on Saturday.

Police are currently searching for the man.

The 17-year-old woman who lives at Pancham Street, Felicity, said she hired the suspect around 3 pm and asked to be taken to Chaguanas.

However, upon reaching Connector Road, the driver turned onto a side street and parked before dragging the teenager out of the car.

Reports state that the suspect then ripped the girl’s clothing off, tied her hand then raped her the side road.

The suspect then took a knife from the car and stabbed her twice in the collarbone before driving off with her phone, bag, and clothes.

The victim managed to walk to a nearby house a short distance away, and the homeowner provided her with assistance and took her to the Chaguanas Police Station.

The victim was later taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where she was medically examined and treated for multiple injuries: a laceration to the upper chest wall; an abrasion to right neck; and multiple abrasions to both thighs, as well as bruises to the right and left legs, and right and left forearms.

Investigations are ongoing.
