Fmr Minister claims Rowley has COVID to thank for winning elections

Former PNM Finance Minister Karen Nunez-Tesheira says people currently do not have confidence in the economy or the Government.

She cited yesterday’s teacher turnout as evidence of the public’s discontent with the Government.

Mrs Nunez-Tesheira said the issue had to have crossed political divides given the number of teachers who decided to stay at home.

She noted that people are also disillusioned with the Government’s commitment to implementation.

Challenged on her comments, and asked to explain the election results which saw the Government retain power, Mrs Nunez Tesheira claimed that Dr Rowley had COVID to thank for his victory at the last General election.
