Three people were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation, following a fire in La Horquetta this morning.
Reports are that around 3am, officers of the Arima Fire Station received a troubled call and quickly went to a house on the corner of Lalond Gordon and Michelle Lee Ahyee Street, Phase 7, La Horquetta.
Fire officers were able to stop the blaze from spreading, but the home was partially destroyed.
They suspect that it might have been an electrical fire caused by an illegal connection to the house.
The three people who were taken to hospital, aged 23, 35 and 50, are listed in stable condition.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the blaze.
