Families Seeking Repatriation Urged To Meet With Repatriation Committee.

Opposition Member of Parliament, Dinesh Rambally, is encouraging families seeking repatriation to meet with the Repatriation Committee and Minister of National Security for the purpose of expediting a proper and timely process of repatriation.

Media reports say there are more than 105 Trinidad and Tobago nationals, including 56 children, in detention centres and refugee camps in Iraq and Syria.

Recently a committee headed by former House Speaker, Nizam Mohammed, was appointed by Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to act as a liaison between the Muslim community and the government.

Speaking on Thursday, MP Rambally  also called for details concerning the policy that now drives the opening of a Head Office and the work of the Repatriation Committee as well as resources allocated to the committee and its remit.
