Drag culture is going mainstream as one a popular children’s teddy bear store Build-A-Bear Workshop has unveiled the latest addition to its collectibles .
The store unveiled a RuPaul-inspired drag queen teddy bear.
The collaboration is significant as it brings together two beloved brands that have a strong following, representing the growing acceptance and representation of drag culture in the media and society.
According to the Build-A-Bear website, the teddy bear costs $64 with the gold heels and $56 without them.
The company shared that the stuffed animal is a true reflection of RuPaul’s iconic style, with a glittery gold jumpsuit, high heels, and a signature blonde wig.
Build-A-Bear Workshop has also partnered with other drag queens to create special edition bears.
