Trinidad and Tobago is appealing for an inclusive and coordinated global response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The call comes from Prime Minister, Dr Keith Rowley.
Dr. Rowley made the statement at the United Nations High-Level Roundtable on Extractive Industries Meeting today.
The Prime Minister said this approach is critical especially since the International Monetary Fund has stated the Caribbean, with Latin
America, are among the economies most adversely affected globally by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Rowley says an essential element of this response is ensuring equitable and fair access to COVID-19 vaccines, particularly for small
island developing states.
