The 66-year-old father and 62-year-old mother of Hannah Mathura, whose body was found buried at Butu Road, South Valsayn have been released from jail.
The instruction was handed down to the police by Director of Public Prosecutions Roger Gaspard on Tuesday afternoon.
Both parents were arrested last Friday, three days after the 18-year-old woman’s body was found in a shallow grave at the family’s home. It is believed that she was buried there seven years ago. An autopsy showed that she was shot in the head.
Reports state that the DPP informed the TTPS that they need to gather more evidence on the matter.
