Dylan Carter broke his own national record at FINA World Champs

Dylan Carter led a trio of Caribbean records during the men’s 100 freestyle prelims, courtesy of Mikel Schreuders, Carter, and Jordan Crooks at the FINA World Championships in Budapest.

Schreuders and Carter tied for 11th in the heats in 48.40s and Crooks tied for 21st with his Cayman Islands record of 48.79s.

Carter broke his own previous national record of 48.52s. For Schreuders, the swim was an improvement upon his own Aruban record of 49.08s.

This is Carter’s second national record at the FINA World Championship in Budapest so far, following his 22.85s 50m ‘Fly’ event which resulted in a 4th place finish.
