Deputy Director of SSA among 6 questioned as investigations continue

Days after its director, Major Roger Best was suddenly sent on administrative leave, pending an investigation, the Strategic Services Agency’s (SSA) has questioned and reportedly suspended six members of staff, among them, the Deputy Director of Intelligence, Joanne Bartholomew-Daniel.

Daniel was questioned on Tuesday along with five other employees pending the outcome of a wide-ranging police investigation.

According to an Express report, electronic devices were taken from at least five SSA personnel.
However, it said Daniel’s phone was not taken away from her.

Major Roger Best was sent on administrative leave for questionable recruitment practices.
He is alleged to have hired several members of the Jerusalem Bride Church located in Malabar.

Brigadier Anthony Phillips-Spencer is currently the acting SSA Director.

On Tuesday during a Power 102 Breakfast Show interview, Pastor Ian Brown, a self professed spy and advisor to Major Best, said that the Government has a list of people who they are planning to remove and one of those names would be released.

He said that he is prepared to release information on the activities of certain persons in the SSA if the list reveals the names of certain people.
