CXC extends deadline date for deferrals

The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) has extended the deadline date for a candidate to defer their 2021 CXC exams to May 24th 2021.

In a Facebook post, CXC reminds that students registered for the June/July exams this year, can defer to the January 2022 CSEC exam or May/June 2022 CAPE, CSEC or CCSLC exams.

CXC reminds that no fee will be charged for the deferral of examinations.

Speaking at media briefing on Thursday, local Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly revealed that 402 T&T candidates have asked for deferrals.

201 have come from public secondary schools, 182 from private candidates and 26 from private registered schools.
