CoP issues warning after four bandits were shot dead by officers

Police Commissioner Mc Donald Jacob has a serious warning for criminals … don’t engage the police as it could mean their lives.

This follows the shooting deaths of four bandits yesterday by law enforcement officers.

Four people were killed in Mayaro in a police-involved shooting, in the early hours of Monday, October 3.

Speaking in an interview yesterday Commissioner of Police McDonald Jacob said that a patrol team in that area received a report of a home invasion and responded.

Police officers recovered four weapons at the scene.

It is believed that three other bandits accompanied the deceased however they were able to escape.

He said that a search was immediately mounted by officers for the suspects however they have not been found.

It is the second time that officers, responding to a robbery, shot and killed four bandits.

Commissioner Jacobs says while the TTPS gets no pleasure in using deadly force these incidents send a clear message.
