Police are investigating a shooting in San Fernando on Christmas Eve, which has left a 30-year-old man warded in a serious condition at the San Fernando General Hospital.
The incident took place at 2:15am along Lady Hailes Avenue, San Fernando.
The victim told police that he was walking up the stairs to his apartment when he was confronted by an armed man.
When he tried to run away, he heard several explosions, then felt a burning sensation in his right leg and realised he had been shot.
The victim jumped through an open window in his neighbour’s apartment and sought cover there.
