It believes the move will help bring several benefits these include improve competitiveness, make online payment easier, grow non-energy exports, improve internal efficiencies, and will result in significant gains in efficiency and costs.
Additional beenfits are moving from a paper based system to digitalised trade and make the country more attractive to do business.
This position was highlighted by President of the Trinidad and Tobago Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Kiran Maharaj.
Ms Maharaj was speaking at the launch of the Single Electronic Window – TTBizLink.
The event was held at the Grand Ballroom, Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre, Port of Spain, on Tuesday.
