The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and the Arts in collaboration with Pan Trinbago will commemorate the inaugural World Steelpan Day on Friday.
In noting the importance of the day, Minister of Tourism, Culture and the Arts, Randall Mitchell, said ‘Tomorrow and moving forward, the world will be invited into an annual celebration of the legacy, impact and captivating experience of the Steelpan.
Minister Mitchell also commend the contributions of our esteemed stakeholder, Pan Trinbago, and our Steelpan fraternity in forging the way forward.’
The theme chosen “From Behind the Bridge to the World Stage”.
The celebrations take place at the Woodford Square, Port of Spain, Trinidad on Friday August 11th from 5:00 p.m.
