Cabinet Expected To Make Decision On TATEC Rates By The End Of April

By April month end cabinet is expected to make a decision on whether electricity rates will be increased.

This is revealed by Minister of Public Utilities Marvin Gonzales.

He made the disclosure while speaking at the official opening of WASA’s new Las Lomas #12 Well.

It was revealed both the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission and the Regulated Industries Commission have been asked to submit more details as deliberations continue.

Gonzales reportedly said “I anticipate that by the end of this month, the Cabinet will be making a decision on that, and the country will be made aware of the outcome of our decision.

“We’ve asked T&TEC and the RIC to submit further information as part of our deliberations to add to the subcommittee.
