Decomposed body found floating off Carrera Island

The partially decomposed body of a man was found floating off Carrera Island yesterday.

Today, the Trinidad and Tobago Coast Guard (TTCG) has confirmed the report adding that the body has been handed over to the Carenage Police Station. In a press release, the TTCG said they received a report yesterday, 11 November, around noon that a body was found floating two miles east of Carrera Island. The TTCG diving team was deployed and the body was retrieved and brought ashore at 1:49pm.

Upon further investigation it was discovered that the partially decomposed body was that of a male of African descent, six feet tall, clad in black t-shirt, blue jeans and blue sneakers. The body was handed over to the Carenage Police Station and is now the subject of a police investigation.
