Soca artiste Benjai has lost his father Robert LeBlanc in a tragic mishap.
Benjai, born Rodney LeBlanc, posted on social media on Sunday that his father Robert died after falling off a ladder last week.
Benjai wrote: “On my mother’s birthday my father fell off a ladder and died! It’s so crazy how life is but you have to accept the things you can’t change ! We never really got along because you weren’t there but the respectful thing to do is acknowledgment! Thanks for everything you did and safe journey”, read the post.
The elder Le Blanc was 70 and lived at Darwill Gardens, off Olton Road, Arima.
The incident occurred last Wednesday at Tessa Drive, Arima around 2pm. Mr Le Blanc was climbing a ladder, which was placed on a scaffolding and fell some 50 feet to his death.
