Trinidad and Tobago was plunged into deep shock with the discovery of the body of 18 year old Ashanti Riley, five days after the young woman went missing on Sunday 04th December, after boarding a PH taxi not far from where she lived in San Juan. Her mother Candace Riley spoke to Izzso media and said that this Christmas was very difficult without her daughter Ashanti:
She said the recent funeral was extremely painful, especially when the dirt was being poured over her child’s coffin.
She still can’t bring herself to pass by the street where Ashanti boarded the PH taxi before she was abducted and brutally killed:
